spoke too soon
Just as I say that I'm getting a little anxious being on the beach for 6 weeks and not being staffed makes me feel useless... I get staffed. Ah, back to San Francisco on Monday. I got the word around 2 PM on Friday. As usual, very last minute. At least I have the weekend to prepare for it. It has been awhile since I have packed my bags and made sure my liquids were in 3 oz containers filling only 1 quart size zip lock back.
My feelings about being staffed right now are somewhat mixed. In one sense, it is good to get back on a project, think, solve problems, and be productive. The team seems like a pretty good team. I've not really worked with any of them but my vibe from all of them seems good. The project is only 10 weeks long. The timing is nearly perfect if all goes as planned with my delayed project. I should be able to roll off this one and on to the next one. The work scope is okay. It's process mapping and transformation. Not awesome but decent and not technology. Yes! The down fall is the timing on my personal life. This is my hubby's week off. I was at home for 6 weeks and only on his week off am I told to not be at home. A little frustrated at that. I have to tell myself to look at the upside... at least work is paying for my travel to Idaho for the weekend.
